Constitution

Preamble:

The purpose of the Two Worlds Intertribal Lodge is to establish a fellowship for healing, sharing, learning, understanding, and respect of all people. without regard to race, creed, color, or sex. We will strive to meet with love, respect, honor, and sharing at all times.

"Come Together"

Where one man can survive, two will fare well;

Three and their families will form a tribe.

A thousand like-minds form their own nation,

With nature as the ruler of their lives.

Brothers: Find you brothers!

Like minds: Share your thoughts.

Let customs and traditions develop,

Let respect be the medium of exchange.

Find your own piece of land to envelope,

Let brotherhood of your minds grow along;

Love your brothers the way you love your own self;

Give your children paths to choose from that can't go wrong.

Come together, Oh brothers! Come Together,

Your life on earth is just so long;

Dig the earth--Know what comes of your digging,

Learn the simple life of nature--relax, let it guide you along.

Constitution

Purpose:

 To establish a recognized affiliation for all people of American Indian decent who can't prove, for whatever reason, their American native ancestry sufficiently to gain recognition by either their ancestral tribe or federal/state bureaus of Indian affairs.

Goals:

 To teach and perpetuate Native American spiritually and way of life; and to gain for its members certain rights now given those American natives recognized by tribes and government but denied all others of American native Ancestry, to include but not limited to:

1.)    The right to possess, use, and bestow certain religious articles, for example: raptor and other feathers and animal parts, just as afforded federally recognized tribal members. ( It is understood that no protected bird or animal is to be killed for its feathers or body parts by any member of this organization, nor are raptor feathers or body parts are to be bought or sold by any member of this organization, following existing federal laws.)

2.)     The right to classify and identify oneself as an American Native under the auspices of this organization.

3.)     The right to have a voice in issues concerning American Natives.

Please Note:

 It is not a goal of this organization to attempt in any way to gain financial/land allotments now given those on tribal allotment rolls. We do not wish to infringe on any financial benefits now afforded the tribes; we simply wish to be able to gain back what our ancestors were forced by oppression to give up -- our heritage as American natives. We want to be able to produce recognized proof that we are who our family legends say we are -- descendants of the tribes forced by oppression to assimilate into Anglo society, in order to be able to survive. ( The publicly declared goal of the early United States government as a solution to " The Handling of the savage Indian".)

REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A FULL MEMBER OF OUR ORGANIZATION

Establish Native ancestry through family legend, family Bible, or any available legal documents stating ancestry or family names linked to tribal rolls (Birth Certificates, Marriage Licenses, Death Certificates.)

Non-Native Spouses or Children:  Spouses and children, including adopted or step-children, of an American Native member may apply for adoption by the organization and be given same recognition and rights as set forth above. In the event of divorce or death of Native spouse, adopted spouse and children may request to continue as adopted members of the organization if they so choose and continue to "Follow the Red Road" in their lifestyle.

Non-Native Membership: For those who cannot prove American Native heritage and are not related by blood or legal ties to an American Native member, Membership by adoption will be given if they establish that they follow American Native teachings in their lifestyle and are "American Native at Heart". This membership will include recognition as an adopted member of the organization, with the same recognition and rights as set forth above.
